This year we’re not able to use the big P/A that we had previous years, so we’re moving the dance floor back into the smaller space at the old grain storage building ’magasinet’. This means that the dancefloor will share space with some people’s sleeping accomodations. I’m thinking that dancefloor between 22-01 both days would be ideal. For previous years, we know that ppl have preferred to stay outdoors when it’s warm out, so even if we start at 21 it’s doubtful wherher ppl would actually do any dancing then. What do you think?
After 01 I think it would be nice with a wind down, pillows and mattresses out + making some comfort food before sleeping, lasting until 02 but not longer.
Artists/live-acts: how many are you and would this accomodate everyone? You would then have maximum 90 minutes (probably 60) to do your thing. Does that sound reasonable?

Sounds good for me! Earlier years the dancefloor have been crowded from 22 or so..
The timetable, edit if you want! What's up with the PA btw, is it the Bose speaker you had last year as monitor Jonatan?
Friday 22-23 Slowtech DJ (Deep n slow - techno + dub) Sebastian Galo
23-00 Benmir (?) Johan Bremin
00-01 Teologen Live (Theologian techno?) Jonatan Bäckelie
Saturday 22-23 Agiris Live (Rap?) Ryan Draper
23-00 Saagan (Tech house?) Andreas Saag or Saagan + Jonatan live jam
00-01 WXL (?) Lukas Wicksell

I like that! to know when the dancefloor is on so you can distribute your time over other things until 22 and have time to cool down and let the subconscious deal with all the experiences from the days or if you have some hours left in you - find some awesome hang in another place, like electroswing and crepes in the milk room, an absolute delight detour me and Isak stubble in on last year

It’s not super duper ideal, but I think it’s the best we can do given the circumstances.

Yeah, we have a feeling it will be nicer for everyone involved that DJs/artists aren’t playing for empty floors and ppl have access to music even in the hours when they don’t care for it (i e wants to sleep). So hopefully this will be a good way to solve both these things.

Now when (if?), we’ve decided the artist timetable we may split out the sleeping part from this thread? I think it’s crucial that we split every subject into their own threads where possible. Everyone can’t and shouldn’t read all the information on the fora even if it’s open for everyone to do so. If one is interested in the sleeping part you basically don’t want to scroll through music content.. Btw, I’ve got the exact same speaker at my work and it will do for the dancefloor I think!

Agreed! 100% I’ll start a sleeping quarters thread!

When I perform live, I have all my instrumentals on my iPhone and just stick an AUX cord into a PA System. Will this be ok at the Kloster? I'm not very tech-knowledgeable in terms of sound.

Great stuff! Yeah, everyone needs to bring what they need themselves to plug in their setup into a mixer with the option of either jack or XLR. Don’t forget to bring a converter for your electronic gasgets if needed. Sweden uses European standard plugs (which are different from the UK).
